Description
The Summer 1984 issue of Telescope Making — “the magazine for, by, and about telescope makers” — features the following articles:

-“Telescopes and Tombaugh,” by David Levy

-“Foucault Knife-Edge Testing,” by David Stoltzmann

-“The 2DS: a New Mounting,” by Adrien Poncet

-“The 1984 IAPPP, Riverside, and TSP Meetings,” by Richard Berry

-“The Ultimate Newtonian,” by Gregory Reeve

-“el Observatorio del Roque de los Muchachos,” by Alec Boksensberg

Telescope Making debuted in 1978 in response to Astronomy magazine readers’ demand for more information about how to build telescopes. In the premiere issue, Editor Richard Berry explained the magazine’s mission: “We see TM as a magazine that will help people share their ideas and learn from each other. ... You, and the telescopes you build, are its subject.” Telescope Making ran quarterly until 1992.
