Description
The Fall 1984 issue of Telescope Making — “the magazine for, by, and about telescope makers” — features the following articles:

-“Fifty Years of Stellafane,” by Richard Berry and Robert E. Cox

-“Apodizing Screens: A Critical Evaluation,” by Steven Edberg

-“A Fork Equatorial for 17½" Optics,” by D. Eric Allen

-“A 16" Dobsonian on a Pursell Platform,” by Tom Osypowski

-“A 17½" Transportable Dobsonian Binocular,” by Lee Cain

-“Dome Tracks and Tracking Systems,” by Jerry Warner

-“The University of California Ten Meter Telescope”

Telescope Making debuted in 1978 in response to Astronomy magazine readers’ demand for more information about how to build telescopes. In the premiere issue, Editor Richard Berry explained the magazine’s mission: “We see TM as a magazine that will help people share their ideas and learn from each other. ... You, and the telescopes you build, are its subject.” Telescope Making ran quarterly until 1992.
