Description
The Spring 1988 issue of Telescope Making — “the magazine for, by, and about telescope makers” — features the following articles:

-“Testing Paraboloidal Mirrors,” by Dick Suiter

-“Astrofest 1987,” by Robert E. Cox

-“A Replica of Galileo’s Telescope,” by Cecil O. Huey, Jr.

-“Home-Made Portable Observatory,” by Ernie Williams

-“An Adjustable Chair for Observers,” by John J. Shelley

-“A Sturdy, Low-Cost Wood Tripod,” by Walter R. Coggan

-“Folding Refractors for Portability,” by Robert E. Cox

Telescope Making debuted in 1978 in response to Astronomy magazine readers’ demand for more information about how to build telescopes. In the premiere issue, Editor Richard Berry explained the magazine’s mission: “We see TM as a magazine that will help people share their ideas and learn from each other.
... You, and the telescopes you build, are its subject.” Telescope Making ran quarterly until 1992.
