Description
The Summer 1989 issue of Telescope Making — “the magazine for, by, and about telescope makers” — features the following articles:

-“Restoring the 12-inch Alvan Clark & Son Refractor of the Witte Observatory,” by Marion and David Bachtell

-“How to Design a Yolo Telescope,” by Jose Sasian

-“Revitalizing a 120mm WWII Binocular,” by Richard Buchroeder

-“Nightwatch Observatory,” by Phillip Mattingly

-“Building the 25-inch ‘Obsession 2’,” by David Kriege

-“A High-Performance 6-inch Reflector,” by Robert Bunge

-“RTMC 1989,” by Richard Berry

Telescope Making debuted in 1978 in response to Astronomy magazine readers’ demand for more information about how to build telescopes. In the premiere issue, Editor Richard Berry explained the magazine’s mission: “We see TM as a magazine that will help people share their ideas and learn from each other. ... You, and the telescopes you build, are its subject.” Telescope Making ran quarterly until 1992.
